“Anne of Green Gables” is a play adaptation of the classic children’s novel by L.M. Montgomery. It follows siblings Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert — the owners of Green Gables farm on Prince Edward Island. After planning to adopt a boy to work as a farmhand, the pair are shocked to discover they’ve actually adopted a girl, the free-spirited Anne Shirley. The heartfelt play follows Anne as she navigates her place on the farm, in the world and in her family’s heart. The performance is for audiences of all ages in the 500-seat STMA MSW Auditorium. The Saturday, May 11 performance at 7pm will include ASL interpretation.
