Become a Volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of SOAR Regional Arts!

Volunteering your talents, skills and time on a production is not only rewarding but is a great way to get involved with your community.

Here is a list of some of the types of volunteer opportunities that are available during our productions.

Usher – Volunteers will scan tickets at the door and help people find their reserved seats in the theater.  Volunteers will need to be at the doors in the back of theater during performance to help with any late arrivals and to manage the doors. 

Ticket Sales – Sell tickets at the door before the show begins. If you have tickets to the show we will make sure you get to your seat before it begins.

Child Supervision – Child Supervisors will help with kids backstage to keep them safe and quiet until they are called to stage.

Check In – Check in cast members as they arrive. 

Strike (set tear down) – Volunteers will help disassemble the set and organize into keep and toss piles.

Set Load In and BuildVolunteers will unload the set from the delivery truck.  Set assembly will continue after that. When selecting this spot please note what time you can arrive and length of time you can help. Heavy lifting required

Costume help  – Volunteers that have sewing skills or anyone comfortable with cutting. 

Marketing – Volunteers needed to help distribute posters, signs, and assist with social media needs.

Hair & Make Up – Volunteers will help the cast with hair and make before the show. This job is done before the show begins.

Concessions – Volunteers will sell candy and water before the show, at intermission and after the show. You can see the first half of the show, but will need restock and do inventory during second half of show. 

SOAR Grams – Volunteers will sell SOAR Grams, flowers and any production related merchandise before the show, at intermission and after the show. You can see the first half of the show, but will need restock and do inventory during second half of show.
