
Applications are now open for SOAR’s Teen Advisory Group (TAG)!
The SOAR Teen Advisory Group (TAG) offers hands-on leadership opportunities for teens interested in learning the behind-the-scenes side of theater. TAG members gain real production experience, work directly with SOAR staff, and develop skills in directing, choreography, stage management, props, costumes, and more.
Who Can Apply?
TAG is open to students ages 13–19 who are:

Interested in leadership or backstage work

Responsible and dependable

Positive role models for younger performers

Excited to grow their skills in a supportive arts environment
No prior theater or tech experience is required—just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.

SOAR Academy Assistantship (January–February)
TAG members assist during the winter SOAR Academy production by shadowing and supporting a staff member. Interns may help run blocking, assist with choreography, manage props or costumes, support stage management tasks, or work in other areas based on their interests.

Broadway in the Park Teen Production Staff (March–August)
From March through July, TAG members meet periodically to help plan auditions, production elements, and rehearsal needs for Broadway in the Park. In August, they step into teen-led production roles such as director, choreographer, stage manager, props coordinator, costume lead, or other positions.

- Staff members receive a small stipend, with amounts based on participation. Attendance, communication, and completion of responsibilities are required to receive the stipend.
